Phuket Capitale: Phuket Town

Phuket Town officially became Phuket City a few years ago. Its new title is still not used very much by long term residents. Unlike the west coast's resort towns, it is still 'real’ Thailand. Some areas of the city are really interesting, and have many temples and shrines, a pier, viewpoints, many bars and restaurants. If you’re willing to dig a little deeper, Phuket City deserves a visit.
