Kalim Beach forms the northern part of Patong Beach, on the way to Kamala. You can’t miss it as the main landmark is a big tree almost in the middle of the road. Its branches give shade to a few food stalls that are handily placed for beachgoers.
A small beach (before the stalls, on the curve opposite a school) and a longer beach (after the food stalls) make up Kalim. It’s all quite rocky but very quiet. You still see fishermen throwing their nets when tide's up, a real sample of Thai life. Some good sunset shots are possible here. |
