The first village to the north of Patong, Kamala Beach is a tranquil place to stay. Surrounded by green hills (about 300 metres high) it was originally a fishing village. Nowadays, it offers accommodations, restaurants and shops, as well as a must-visit when you come to Phuket: the Phuket FantaSea Show. Busy in high season, the southern part of the beach offers a more local taste of life with a school and a Wat (Buddhist temple) facing the beach. |
